Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) was founded in 1997 in Guangzhou, China, and grew to become one of China's top five domestic automakers by sales. GAC has joint ventures with Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Fiat in China, giving it significant exposure to Japanese and European manufacturing practices. The GAC Motor sub-brand focuses on independent-branded vehicles for domestic and export markets. In the Philippines, GAC Motor achieved 65.1% sales growth in 2024. The Aion sub-brand handles GAC's pure EV lineup. GAC is actively expanding its dealer and service network across Southeast Asia.
