Short General History
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars was founded in 1906 through the partnership of Charles Rolls and Frederick Royce in Manchester, England. The company built its reputation producing aircraft engines and ultra-luxury automobiles for royalty and heads of state. BMW Group acquired Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 1998 after a complex separation from the Vickers/Volkswagen sale. The Phantom nameplate, in continuous production since 1925, is the brand's flagship. The Cullinan SUV, launched in 2018, opened the brand to a new generation of buyers. In Singapore, Rolls-Royce is operated through the Eurokars Group dealer network.
